You obviously didn't read any of the Ordinances of Secession. I have read a hand full of them. Quick read and typically only 1 page. You should too.

TBH i was surprised as all i was taught in school was that it was about states rights. A few of the ordinances start off with states rights to preserve a way of life (own slaves) and most directly state to preserve the ownership of slavery.



Honestly, that is an odd response to my post. It might help to understand that slavery was a state's rights issue itself. Reread my post with that in mind. My point was most everyone agrees state's rights was at the core of the Civil War but some people argue slavery wasn't the most significant one and some people (rightfully IMO) see slavery as the primary issue.
