I’ve said this before on here, but Silver Bullet absolutely fricked me up as a kid.
And of course Jaws. The movie itself didn’t scare me but it damn sure affected me literally every time I was in deep enough water. There were times I’d be swimming in a pool at night and freak out a little in the back of my mind about that shark.

This is another one that got me pretty good.
Blair Witch...the movie was not all that scary...until I got turned in around in the woods one morning before daylight heading for my deer stand a few days after having seen it. I was a teenager but it was all I could think about while I briefly lost.

Same.
Our elementary textbooks were from Silver Burdett Publishers. I didn't even like that. It made me think of that damn preacher werewolf.
