I used to sit in on Delta pilot application reviews. Just 8 years ago any discussion of race, sex, religion, gender identity, etc in vetting pilot applications would have had YOU disciplined. Now they are making decisions BASED on demographics? Unbelievable (and likely illegal).

It was (and still should be) all about experience and qualifications. Navy and Air Force pilots to the front of the line and then discuss the non-military applicants. Biggest debate was whether Air Force or Navy pilots were better (it's Navy by the way).

That would explain the last few landings I experienced.
There’s a Delta A320 pilot flying the line who thinks he has to catch the arresting gear.

A lawsuit needs to be brought through the court system until it gets to the supreme court to knock down all of this hiring due to DEI before serious consequences are seen.
