Why did a 3 day military operation turn into a 2 year war?

Why should the Russian people reelect you when your 3 day special military operation has cost anywhere from 150,00-350,000 Russian lives?

Do you regret invading Ukraine since the invasion has made Russia weaker and NATO stronger?

Why can Finland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania join NATO but Ukraine cannot?

How do you feel about the rest of the CIS/CTSO telling you to f**k off when you asked them for assistance?

When you can liquidate a country of millions of people and turn them into an army completely backed by nearly endless military training, weapons, and military analysts from a whole coalition of many wealthy western countries. Then you have a pretty strong force. I.E. Israel. Despite these odds and often being a much smaller force (at the beginning have 1/3 less forces) Russia has been the one slowly winning the war.

and NATO stronger?

This will be judged 10 years from now as countries like France and Germany have suffered from this and all will have to relook at how they see their relationship with UK and the USA. Germany for one had a major pipeline bombed by the USA which was an act of war against the German people.

but Ukraine cannot?

They likely will be able to but they wont be allowed to let NATO put a strategic naval base on Crimea and bases in Ukraine that can threaten Russia.
