Here’s my thing. Neville Chamberlain was sent to Germany to see if they could avoid war, and of course as we know, Hitler reneged as he did with everyone, but at least something was done in order to try and avoid millions of people losing their lives in a world war.

At present, we have a journalist who, perish the thought, is going to interview a man who we may very well be at war with, like journalists tend to do because it’s their profession to get to uncover the truth for the people that depend on them to do so, and he is taking so much flack for it that it’s amazing for Americans to consider this strange to do so.

He isn’t brokering any deal. We can still go head first into WWIII and nobody is going to stop us if that’s what we are hell bent on doing, but he’s just getting the other side of the coin so that we are all informed.

It’s as if people really don’t understand that such a war with Russia, and maybe China as well, will be most costly in human lives that anything we’ve seen over the past almost 80 years now, and nobody is insulated from the effects in the wake of the nuclear age we now live in. There is no insulating ourselves from the unthinkable effects of such warfare, but somehow, we are playing around with this like there is.
