where did it come from?
As far as I can tell, it has to do with Bluto's rant in the movie Animal House where he asks if the U.S. quit "when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?" Someone quoted that dialog and posters who didn't get the reference kept needlessly correcting the original poster. I think it morphed into meaning any redundant post.
I could be wrong, though.

i sure wish they had plates with the old tiger head available on it..that would be so cool
