QB recruiting is very hit and miss. In part because it's way more political than even those on this board know.
I have long been skeptical about Colin Hurley, in part because he is inaccurate and in part because he reminds me of Chase Griffin
Griffin was the most marketed QB recruit I have ever seen. And if you are saying "Who?" the response is "exactly." Gatorade player of the year but never played at UCLA
I can't figure out Dyson. He has the size but not the offers. Usually when a prospect has prototypical size but not P5 offers, it means he's just not good at playing QB but arrogant coaches will think they can "coach him up" and take them over fantastic QBs who just aren't tall enough (see, Stetson Bennett, Baker Mayfield, Malik Willis, Brock Purdy, Drew Brees). But Dyson's stats suggest he can play. And the recruiting services just missed here.
It will be intriguing to see how this gamble pays off for him. Sloan recruited him personally so hopefully Sloan gives him a shot to develop and doesn't just send him off to throw to the DBs.

Yea, the numbers he put up in 6a in state of Oklahoma compared to the offer list he has is a head scratcher. I’m interested to hear more on his story

Not just the services; he didn’t get the offers either.
