I never had a lapse in coverage. I still don't understand why anything was flagged at the DMV, but the insurance company says they'll have it cleared up by tomorrow, flags removed. We'll see, fingers crossed.

Seems odd that not having been issued a proof of isurance card (You haven't stated otherwise when asked multiple times) wasn't a red flag.
This isn't adding up.
