The math isn’t the same for Vegas.
81 games a year to bring in convention sized crowds potentially… that spend a shite ton on gambling, alcohol, and $20 burgers. And hookers.
My guess is the mayor has $$ on the location she wants.

Yeah they struggle to get conventions and crowds in general to come to Vegas.
The studies are clear spending tax dollars on projects like this is a waste.
