You're not getting European style public transport here, and you wouldn't ride it if we did.
Thankfully we're not as densely populated and value personal liberty too much.

Population of European nations in 2023: 742 Million
Population of United States in 2023: 336 million.
Additionally, our population centers are not nearly as dense as those of Europe.
