The problem is that if there is any truth in the computer climate sims, they predict that virtually all of the warming will take place toward the poles. That means that the weather will become milder since the contrast between hot and cold is where weather systems get their energy.
Both the historical weather record and the geological record support this. For example, the Medieval Warming produced more mild weather while the Little Ice Age was known for its violent storms.
