You're thinking of going south from Madison and south from Milwaukee, which are kinda shitty.

Some additional information, like whether the bar was robbed, if they have security footage (what bar doesn't have cameras?), etc...would be helpful here.

Also, there had to be other people there otherwise where did the call of shots fired and person down come from?

99.9% chance that the killer is part of her friend’s list on Facebook but very weird for a bar to not have security cameras. Even the bars north of Hwy 29 have them installed.

That was my first thought, but the call came in 11 minutes after closing time, so I get why it would be assumed they were alone.

It doesn't look like a very big place from online photos, so I guess someone outside could have heard the shots, gone back in and called from there.
