This is a super cheesy rec. but what i thought was cool when in Boston was to go to Beantown Pub and drink a Sam Adams while gazing across the street at Sam Adams grave.

Incredibly cheesy but not a bad place to stop while you’re doing the freedom trail.

The OP is specifically doing a beer tour so I definitely would advise against using part of the one day in Boston to go to Beantown
