probably in the high 90's mabye even in the 100's but with the way most of the fans leave the game so early there not going to add new seats

fans leaving early doesnt matter to them, they are still making money off the seats

The driving force behind expanding the SEZ is to add more suites. That is where the real money is. There may be only a few thousand seats built over the suites. I don't think it the new addition will reach as high the west and east upper decks.

When it comes to Tiger Stadium, there's two things on Alleva's list:

1. First is to impove the outside of the stadium on the North endzone side. It looks old and with all those broken and dirty dorm windows. As well as the road. He basically wants it to mirrow Mike's habitat in terms of style and beauty.

2. Second is to join the two upper decks in the south endzone and increase total capacity to about 98,000 he said.

The first thing should happen in a couple years, the second . . . Sorry I dont have a link, I heard it over the radio a few months ago.

I personally think the rusty paint chipped windows and mildewed concrete are what make Tiger Stadium's appearance so beautiful, mysterious, and intimidating. You can almost see the history.

I would hate to see it remodeled to look like some NFL stadium of the future.

and as for the neww scoreboards with the larger video screen, its waste of money, if i wanted to watch the game on a screen i'd stay at home

thats just me

If we don't add a new D Coordinator and a stable QB you will be able to sit anywhere you want...

Actually was talking about this with a coworker about this over lunch. can't recall if he said that the new addition over the end zone will start after next season or the season after. He also stated that there will never be additions done over dorm area. He worked at Shaw for a while before joining us and that place if full of booster's and/or kids of booster's. Example; He told us about Perrilloux's police/gambling incident almost three weeks before the news reported it FWIW

Why add more seats - another 2 years like 2008, you will be able to buy tickets outside the stadium right before the game. We did it for years. We need a winning football team first, and don't tell me 7-5 is winning!! Look at who the 7 were.
