There is always something new coming out. A lot of people here just seem to be stuck in the past.
Not necessarily. I think it's just that the "better" original music these days isn't what's spoon fed to us. In the past "album rock" was all over the radio. Now you have to wade past all the pop trash to get to the stuff that's creative. I realize it's all at our fingertips on our phones/computers, but we just have to dig.

I am still catching up to old music that I like and never listened to in the past. New York Dolls, Steel Pulse. Chuck Brown and the Soul Searchers, Megadeath and Motörhead, Pantera, Moe Bandy, Sam Cooke, Buck Owens and a few others. I’m not saying I never heard a song or two from each of them and liked them but I just never explored their stuff any deeper than their biggest hit song.
As far as newer stuff I like Dirty Honey, The Cold Stares, Mac Saturn, The Struts, GVF, Stick Figure, The Elovaters, The Tesky Brothers.
Cant stand any of the newer country music except Sturgill Simpson. He reminds me of Waylon Jennings and sounds like authentic 70s era country.
