Or over a period of time(let’s say 5 years), lsu analytics track the speed of each position group, and come up with a median speed for each position.
Lsu coaches show up to a camp, or host their own, with this technology. Or gather data from HS or colleges for potential transfers.
They might get 15min to look at a kid. They might not get to see a kid in person at all. But they can immediately compare & apply the data to see how these kids measure up.
The same reason a combine exists. It’s not to brag that someone runs 20mph. It’s used to cross check & compare against other players or position medians.
