I’m going through a round right now. It stops me in my tracks. Three herniated back disc, three cervical herniated disc one of them fused.

I’ve dealt with bouts of sciatica since I was 27. It is definitely not a picnic and there is no way to explain it to people who haven’t had it. I find only physical activity staves it off.

Hell, I used to walk around with a TENS unit set to the highest setting stuck on my back and leg for months before I finally had the doc remove some of the disk tissue that was aggravating the nerve.
