Really? I guess I don't know any successful people then. I'm not talking about things like corporate layoffs (you may be including that). I'm talking about actually being fired.

True. But not impossible. I came to work for the company I work for today 30 years ago after I got out of the Army. Started as a warehouse worker, worked my way up the ladder and now I’m a corporate level product manger. Was it easy? Hell no. Was it always fun? Hell no again. But was it worth it? Absolutely.
