Also have to keep in mind how the cycles go in the NFL...

1. Work your way up to the coordinator position, which can take a while.
2. Become a successful coordinator on a good team.
3. Get hired as a HC.
4. Boom or bust... Usually the latter, and often due to things out of your control (cap issues, no decent QB, inept GM, crazy-arse owner, etc)
5. Land back down in coordinator land and may not get another shot... It took Raheem Morris 13 years to wash that Tampa stank off.

So, you want to choose your organization and situation carefully if you are a hot commodity OC or DC.
