All I know is that the late night hotdog carts with hotdogs smothered in cheese and jalpenos for about 50 cents each is late night drinking food heaven.

I agree on the street food. They have good restaurants but it's hard to beat the dollar taco carts.
Even the shrimp and fish tacos are really good.
Hell my goal is only to eat street food this weekend.

Enjoy! I'm envious. Stuck in Atlanta on business travel.

Sunday morning go get yourself some Cochinitas …. The whole pig is slowly cooked in the ground, they put it and this big wooden drawer on a cart and serve tacos for two bucks each, but get there early. It is only on Sunday mornings and the best part is the meat around the cheek area.

Gave delivery pizza from Oscar's a shot last night.
The Mexican pizza is really good.
I was happy with it. Normally don't get pizza in Mexico but wanted something to have in fridge to snack on.
Going to Mango's in the morning then probably spend the day at Amazona or Castillo Garrafan. I didn't get a golf cart this trip.
Been taking taxis.
This is my 6th trip here in the last year. Im strongly considering getting a condo here.

How much are taxi rides now? Last time I was there it was $5 to anywhere on the island.

It's mostly $100 pesos pretty much anywhere.
I'll usually tip $50 pesos on top.
I had one long tour that was $200 pesos but I had them do the entire loop.
The busses for $1uS aren't bad either. You just flag them down and they bring you where ever.
Some cab drivers will bring you to the wrong place though. Like I asked to go to one beach club and they brought me to the wrong one.
They have no app and most don't speak English so don't be afraid to point in the map where you want to go.
The street tacos on hidalgo were really good today.
Got a 3 shrimp and octopus combo for $200mx.
This was my first time not getting a golf cart and I don't think I'll do that again.
The $100 a day is worth having unlimited personal travel.
Taxis are OK. But I'll go back to keeping a cart for the week from now on.

Very nice. If we go we rent a golf crt for 1 day max. We stay within walking distance of Playa Notre and Hidaldo Street so walking is no biggie.
Fortunately my wife speaks Spanish so no language barrier for us.
