Price alone is not the issue.
See what kind of guarantee (if any) or limitations of liability are in your contract. Often, the contracts limit the contractor's liability to the amount you paid them, even if termites render your building worthless.

This is what I’m concerned about. Some shitty contractor doing a half arse job, then I’m liable for most of the damage

Ditto on limitations of liability.

A contract to just treat/inspect is very different than treat/inspect/insure. The latter costing much more.

Read the fine print on any insurance, modifications including some landscaping may require retreatment or claims for termite damage may be denied.

We pay ~ $450/year for Terminix and have for a long time. Last year they fully retreated the entire exterior at no cost. That included trenching at slab edge and drilling/injecting/filling where walks and drive abutted house and garage. I was told that they were experiencing too many claims in our subdivision due to Formosan termite damage.
