I retired on Toledo Bend. I grew up on Toledo Bend.
Pros- One of the best fishing lakes in the nation. Real estate prices. Always something going on.
Cons- HEAT in the summer. Cell phone coverage. Contractors.
I adjust my schedule (because I can) during summer when it gots real hot in August/Sept.
I’m in a cell phone hole (Zwolle) but can drive less than 1/2 mile south and pick up 4 bars.
Gotta be careful of the meth heads. Of course they are everywhere.
