Also mentioned his college was near an airport, when addressing a question about dealing with noise.

Think he was talking about his high school when he said that.

Great question. It's different for everyone and in part it's kind of a conditioning thing.

I grew up playing at a pretty big HS (ballpark was also next to an airport), a well known college with high attendance, and in a lot of big games so I was accustomed to there being a large audience, sounds, distractions, etc.

So I'm used to it and it doesn't (usually) phase me. For me, I deaden my focus on specific objects that are in my target area. Could he the catchers' glove, the umps scratch on his mask, the dirt on the plate, the batters armband, etc. And I fixate on those things instead of everything else becsuse that's all that matters.

Some guys do some pretty crazy training, like having a coach jump and scream or throw stuff to condition but that's a little cheesy to me haha

Wright went to high school in a small town in northeast Alabama.

With Huntsville Executive a m8le away. It's him. He's only had 1 hit in the majors, the 'two-bagger'. Great AMA.

Wright makes sense, because he said he was from the south and he also alluded to that he won something big (a world series)
