You’re saying it’s impossible that he’s changed it?

Yes. It’s absolutely 1000% impossible that McMahon went from Murray State to LSU & decided:

“I’m going to change my offense from motion concepts to — one screen then absolutely nothing.”

I’m not defending our offensive output, but no that really isn’t possible lol. It’s not even some crazy original revolutionary offensive philosophy, most people who played at any level have run a version this at some point.

I’m seeing personnel issues — you can argue that is on McMahon at this point. But we’re not just trotting guys out without a plan.

Offense isn’t even really the issue IMO. Tonight it was some, because there were some bad shots taken which you absolutely cannot do against Alabama. We lost by 21. We got outscored in fast break points 22-4. If you throw up a 3, it’s almost better to not even attempt to offensive rebound against Alabama because they will convert a long rebound into points

We are 5th in field goal % and 5th in 3pt % in the league.

The issue is his man to man switch defense. We simply don’t have versatility to do that, unless we put both Fountain and Reed in at the bigs, which he never seems to do. Need to play a 1-3-1 and let baker just sit back and protect the rim. This team has the length for it.

And you don’t think jumping up to the SEC level may have forced him to change? Maybe what happened last season made him change? I don’t know why it’s happened but I know we don’t run any motion offense and I know going through 5-6 point guards and claiming they all just refuse to run his offense isn’t a valid excuse.
