The nazis had discovered rockets and bombed London with them. It wouldn’t have taken them long to discover long range missiles. It would have taken something like a submarine bringing one to the shore for the us to be hit. Oh yeah, German subs were in the gulf so they could have done it.

Dude……
It always cracks me up when people make shite up without considering….well….anything.
Just because a V-2 rocket existed doesn’t mean they were on the verge of being able to deliver a nuke with just a little extra hypothetical effort.
The first nukes were almost as big and heavy as the entire V-2 rocket.
It took another 12 years of research to both shrink nukes and upsize rockets enough to move them.
