mine has already eaten dog food. I think it’s funny. His face is priceless, but obviously he doesn’t like, but is still obsessed with the bowls.

Oh good lord, just this post triggered some anxiety in me deep down

I have a 1 year old son that can crawl as fast as any baby I've ever seen, it legitimately takes a quick jog to catch him. He, like all babies, is obsessed with the dog food bowl.

And he, like all boys, only wants something worse the more times you tell him no and carry him away from it. You can turn around for a split second and the guy has cleared the whole living room and is making a beeline to the laundry room, it's ridiculous.

Back to OP - As a first time dad with a one year old, you'll get used to them putting everything in their mouth. Just watch them closely to make sure they don't get anything they'll choke on, and if it's something not edible take it away. Other than that, expect every toy and everything smaller than a basketball they can reach to be put in their mouth. It just is what it is.

Don't let it stress you out, and the more you try to stop it the more your child will want whatever it is.
