I hate to break this to you, but the Colbert report was much more directly and consistently making fun of republicans than the daily show did. The entire schtick was making fun that that post 9-11 patriotic right winger troupe. If you were consuming that show as a straightforward voice of conservatism, then wow

i saw that as well and thought it had to be a joke. I was a RaRa Bush guy, and i could tell when we were being made fun of.

and i enjoyed Colbert report. kinda sad that his real personality and comedy was actually pretty bad when he didn't have a schtick.
