That's awesome. Are you in that number? The way I've seen you talk about The Holdovers, it seemed like you were really proud of that film. Or maybe just a big fan of Alexander Payne's work. If the former, congratulations. (Or I'm sorry since it doesn't appear the art department was recognized for it ). Either way, hope all is well.

I was lucky to get on it .... and Alexander is absolutely the best. We wrapped that in March 22' and that Christmas he sent the crew all these really nice Spanish meat/cheese gift baskets. A dream to work with. It had a look, but wasn't a heavy design film so we always knew we wouldn't be in the running for those awards.

The other two LSU Alums were on Best Design/picture films - one was the Supervising Art Director on KOTFM. A huge job. The other worked on both Killers AND Oppenheimer and helped source many of the furnishings for the key sets of both. So a good year for some of the locals.
