I know and actually know MS Banks.
We get along and I am a pretty hard conservative. She fights for her constituents and that is what every council person should do.

In the parish our council should always look at what benefits the parish 1st.
We should never hear that we have to protect BR first.
This is why the city and parish need to have separate governments.

If St George becomes a city I would look at running for council just to piss off LSURussian on a daily basis.

Now I would do it as I feel my area needs things done.
1) cleaning ditches, fixing culverts, and fixing drainage pipes there needs to be a plan. Not this shotgun approach. There should be a time line that each area gets serviced.

2) garbage look at bring in another contractor possibly two. One for one side of the city and one for the other side. Have multiple drop off points inside the city to take care of bulk items. Those hazardous materials collection days at LSU are always packed.

3) paving roads there needs to be a blueprint or plan per each neighborhood or area. People should be able to go online to access this information.

4) work with the agency to police the area if they choose to have city police or the sheriff. Work on traffic patrols especially high usage roads inside subdivisions especially during mornings and afternoons when kids get out of school.

5) midnight basketball, feel good programs, etc are ok. Until we get back to providing services and maintaining the city these programs are on the back burner!!!

I detest Banks for a number of reasons, including the attempt to frick a different district by blocking Denise Amoroso from taking her late husband’s seat and for her race card tossing with regards to the proposed new mega neighborhood in the Zachary school district despite it being in a no man’s land, incorporation wise, and closer to Baker than Zachary distance-wise.
