What are they having you do?

Resign and find another job.

DEI is on its way out. Can’t go fast enough and its demise should not take long to filter down to kids’s soccer education camp. Maybe you can assist in the process of consigning it to the ash heap.

I wouldn't want anything to do with that league, sorry. It won't end at just this training.

What to expect?
Their descriptions and scenarios will read like word salad and be void of any actual logic or points being made. Be sure to point it out and get ready for very closed arguments coming from the presenters. They hate being challenged but fall for it every time. Next challenge them on the effectiveness of their training by arguing that every study done shows their understanding and validity of what is and isn’t diversity is In the Single digit percentile In terms of being an efficient means of training. There are numerous studies to choose from. The company I work for ordered us to go through it and we came well prepared and sent them home with their pants down and sent a message to corporate that it won’t fly

this is a requirement for player and one parent to attend. If we do not, he cannot play.
Brutha, you can NOT be party to this insane coercive madness.
Your participation GRANTS IT YOUR CONSENT. The message you're sending your kid makes participation it the charade even worse. IT CAN"T BE UNDONE (once you do it.)

Several spicy responses. While just getting up and leaving the team to prove a point would be cool, we are midway through the season, and just walking away would hurt the team.
This was unknown going in and may give us pause joining next year. MLSNext is the highest level youth soccer in the country, and could be what gets the kid a scholarship.
Meeting is via Zoom. Since no one really has offered much of what to expect, I will provide an update tomorrow.
His team is half non-white, we will see how balanced this is.

There is a reason for this. Makes it easier to control dissent or questioning.
Fill the chat box with logical questions throughout the meeting. You have 3 pages of responses to work with already.

What are the agenda issues? Did they call it DEI are are you? Totally agree with “sportsmanship” lessons to parents and kids but not DEI. You must live in a blue town.

Tell them you’re having your period and can’t attend.
