Hicks committed to LSU in 2008 from JUCO and never played a down for the Tigers
Recruiting violations by DJ McCarthy and the NCAA ruled him ineligible to play ANYWHERE for the 2009 season. He left the team in Jan. 2010 to focus on getting back into college (Canada) and playing football so he could improve his draft stock. Ironically, the SAINTS drafted him in 2012 (3rd Rd.). Then they traded him in 2015 to NE for TE Hoomanawakkalikalioah

A similar player to Hicks was Phil Loadholt. He signed with us, but couldn't get eligible, ended up at OU and had a successful pro career.
