Been searching that too, but nothing yet. I can't have the only cap like this. I'm waiting to see who made the band uniforms in the 1950's. The History and Alumni Secretary of the LSU Band's honor society is digging too. The maker was a band uniform manufacturer. You'd think LSU military museum would instantly know but they are looking too.

Could it have been the drum major?
They usually have something to differentiate themselves. I just don’t know if ROTC had drum majors then, or if it was customary to give them a completely different uniform.
