re: Can anyone Identify this military style LSU cap?

The band director Castro Carazo in 1935 had the gold cord. However once he left, LSU went back to military. Later Thomas Tyra in early 1960's cap has the gold cord as well. However, I can find no pics of any band director conducting between 1946 - 1960. Lol. Apparently the band was still in military dress until they had to get new uniforms due to a fire early 1958. In 1958 the uniforms were modernized but the Director Tyra still wore a military cap. The other thing is the Army buttons on the cap that make it weird as well. I appreciate your input Ace.
