Not going to work that way nor should it IMO...just looked it up to make sure. The higher seed only plays 1 game at home. 12 plays at 5... 11 plays at 6...10 plays at 7...9 plays at 6. One round of home games for 4 teams ..that is it!

Quarterfinals: Fiesta Bowl, Peach Bowl, Rose Bowl, Sugar Bowl

I realize that's not how it will work. But that's how it needs to work.
Top 4 have a bye. Teams will go all out to be as high as possible, certainly want to be top 4.
If EVERY GAME is played at the higher seed's stadium until the championship, how important will it be to finish as high as possible?
How bad does LSU want to go play at ann arbor in December???
This would maintain the significance of the regular season as much as it's possible.
