you should probably get length and lie checked. that's more of a setup deal than actual swing based fitting. no need for anything else until you get a repeatable swing.

This is what I was thinking. It's totally possible that I need +/- a half inch or so.

To everyone else, I have to buy clubs. I already sold my old ones. The question is whether to just pick them off the shelf, or go through with fitting.

I don't think fitting actually costs anything, does it? I just assumed it was part of the sales process.
