The prolific periods was undeniably under Raymond (2012-2021)

It's true.

Now, as a school with a storied defensive history (which is undeniable, even if we don't have the "championships" - bought, cajoled or otherwise - of other more *ahem* "favored programs), ever since specialization, LSU has had bursts of greatness in the secondary.

From the late 60s surge (Sammy Grezaffi, White Graves, Maurice Leblanc), through the 70s (Casanova, Hodgins, Mike Williams, Burrell, Green, Teal) the 80s (Chris Williams <-still the career interception leader at LSU, McDaniel, Britt, Daniel, Dale, Hobley, , Jefferson, Jackson, Mayes), even the 90s (Rodney Young, Tory James, Denard Walker) it was rare for LSU to go more than 3 or 4 draft cycles without at least 1 DB going in the draft.

There were none between Mark Roman (2000) and Norman LeJeune (2003), but it should be noted that Ryan Clark went undrafted during that period.

2005 is a potential year to start the "DBU" as that was Corey Webster and Travis Daniel the same draft, skipped 2006, then the rush was on:

2007 - Landry
2008 - Chevis and Steltz
2009 - Curt Taylor
2010 - Chad Jones

Others have covered 2011 onward.

Now, in addition to Clark (UFA 2002), other undrafted DBs of note:

1983 - Jesse Myles
1994 - Anthony Marshall
2004 - Randall Gay, Adrian Mayes
2005 - Fred Booker (Marcus Randall )
2006 - Jack Hunt, Ronnie Prude
2011 - Chris Hawkins
2014 - Poppa Loston
2015 - Delvin Breaux, Ronald Martin
2018 - Kevin Toliver

*Out of order for a reason
1992 - Corey Raymond ( )
