Watching these dogs work is truly impressive.

Yep. Son wounded one Sunday. Had 2 guys with 3 dogs out that couldn't find anything past the last blood I found. Was fun to watch them try to figure it out and circle back to the last thing they hit on though



One the one hand I was happy I hadn't lost my touch and they couldn't find anything further that what I did.

One the other hand, my son didn't get his first deer and I was apparently wrong about the shot. She (dmap property) sort of buckled and went off like she was hit good. Found good red blood for 100 yards or so through the worst palmetto thicket I've ever been in.


I think the angle of the shot was so severe that he took a good strip off her side without hitting anything important that bled good for a while and then clotted. Found white hair later in the day that I couldn't see real well with the light and frost
