#2 My lab has a pet door and currently he's outside where he wants to be and will probably stay outside unless he comes in to eat.
#3 my 10 beagle/walkers stay in a pen outside with proper bedding YEAR frickING ROUND.

Ok, for Darth, someone here needs to resurrect the video of the black dude hammering the heads of the demon pit bulls chasing him, LOL. I'm not an animal abuser by any means, but stop comparing animal worth to people worth. Jesus didn't die for the animals, he died for people, so there's your worth estimator.
