Real answer:
The last second modification where we stand completely upright gave us the deepest butt cracks in the animal kingdom, and never got out of Beta testing.
This and the fact that our offspring are useless for an obscene amount of time were the biggest source of jokes for the other animals, leading us to develop the weapons needed to kill and eat them.
