I worked for a fortune 100 company one time where a plant manager was fired at a Denny’s. He was called to the corporate office and flew in. Went to the hotel for the meeting the next day. Early that morning the VP called him and said “let’s have breakfast at Dennys before the meeting. When he got there,his boss fired him. In the company, the standing grave yard humor was if you were invited to corporate for a big meeting and asked by your boss to meet at Denny’s for breakfast you were DOA.
