The fact that I tend to agree with much of what he says doesn't for an instant make me think HE believes any of it.

to be honest - that is a fear in the back of my mind also. And at first I dismissed his apparent gloss for that very reason.

however, I have seen him deliver well thought out analyses of tricky scenarios that were designed to get him to say some from which a 'sound bite' could be generated. He has responded with such a genuinely appealing display of fundamental logic, assessing various alternatives along the way, and - where appropriate - calling out the questioner for such an obvious 'set-up' question. I have never seen anyone with this command of the logic and the factual history and analysis of future results of his agenda. He is either completely based in his stated opinions or the greatest con-man the world has ever seen.

Again - my only remaining reservation is that he doesn't have the 'past performance' resume to substantiate his ability to get thing done. Trump did not have that either, hence my reservations about him at the time. Trump has done nothing to allay my reservations about his reckless persona, but I still support him based on his past performance in the face of unprecedented persecution from political henchmen.

I like them both - If I could choose who'd be POTUS right now - it would be Vivek. If I could choose who would be the GOP nominee, it would be Trump.

Both positions can be effected by subsequent events.
