That's the problem. There is a damn good chance nothing happens and many of us still have to take off work and stay home with kids b/c of the possibility of precipitation.

We have more technology than ever. With the push of a button, school districts can let everyone know. Schools managed to handle things properly 30+ years ago without email, text, and emergency notification systems.
