I think saying you feel safe in New Orleans just makes someone sound stupid.

Have you been to New Orleans? Do you think there is crime around every corner at every time of the day? There are unsafe situations that you can put yourself in, but when we go now we typically stay Uptown and there's no reason not to feel safe walking around Uptown during daylight hours.
