Jsmoke222000, I appreciate you starting this thread. To all who posted, thank you for your stories. We’ve had a couple of talks with our son (6.5yrs old) about his adoption. I keep tabs on his bio mom/siblings from a distance on Facebook, my wife doesn’t know. Like one of the posters noted, eventually we will need to know medical history. I never saw it from that POV. I’ll cross that bridge when that time comes. Damn, this thread hit home in a good way.

Reading what others have shared has been pretty therapeutic.
I'm extremely fortunate that my adoptive mother has loved me unconditionally throughout this process. She has supported me through many struggles in my life & I'm very thankful that she is who raised me.
