I was adopted. Mom was 10+ years younger than dad, they thought they could not have kids so adopted me. She died at 36 unfortunately. Turns out dad is Borderline Personality Disorder so verbally and emotionally and sometimes even physically abusive. Found Biologic Mother's family, she had already died, she had a severe mental disorder and why she gave me up as she had other children her mom and sister's were raising. Nice family, but not sure if situation would have been better or not based on what I was told by my biological brother, but probably better vs the man who adopted me with the personality disorder who is indescribable to any logical person. Later found biologic father, heck of a guy. Would have loved to know him more, but he died just a couple of years after we met. He had no idea I existed so not sure he would have even been in my life. I am just glad to be here and trying to put together a loving, semi-normal (whatever that means) family with my wife and our kids. Good to see a bunch of adopted folks around.

My bio mom has never been diagnosed as far as I am aware, but my sibling has this & looking at the symptoms, I'm almost positive that I do to. Genetics play a big part in it. It is absolute hell to deal with. I take lexapro & puff on the devils lettuce. The 2 together really help with the drastic mood swings.
