Making money off your name, image and likeness has a completely different meaning me to than the reality we see. These kids should be responsible for seeking out their own money making endeavors. Schools shouldn’t have any ties whatsoever to NIL.

Only looking at it from an NIL perspective, and not the fact that colleges still win in this bullshite deal that they have with student athletes with NIL...
set a salary cap that's attainable by each school, and let it ride. I'm talking like let's call it...$850,000 giving you the ability to only give up to $10,000 for each student athlete. If schools don't have the $850k, cap it at some reasonable amount that's proportional to the cost of attendance at the school.
Idk i'm if for a true pay for play scheme, but it seems like that's the only real way to get this done. Super conference, pay for play...everyone else focuses on being a smaller conference that just plays football, and can adopt their models as they wish to govern.
