I don’t believe you’re comparing apples to apples. 6.8 beats Grendel if you’re both using 16 inch barrels. To get better ballistics the grendal has to use a 20 inch barrel.

You can also buy cheap wolf ammo in 6.5G that you can buy in 6.8spc. Also you can make 6.5G brass from plentiful 7.62x39. 6.8 is a fatter, but lighter bullet that doesn’t penetrate as well, and with this range of muzzle energy on hog and deer sized animals you want more penetration. Plus just look at the cases side by side… the 6.8 with its short bullet looks like a scaled up .223 while the Grendel has that long sexy bullet. Winner Grendel.
