I thought that it was a fair portrayal of what happened.
It doesn’t ignore that he and his peers dabbled in Communism in the 20s and 30s. That was pretty normal at the time. Oppenheimer’s brother remained one, I think that he was more ambivalent.
The story of his brilliance and how he pulled together a team for the Manhattan Project, and all of the concerns they had about what they were going to do was really well done.
The special effects are incredible, and the back story about petty politics on Capitol Hill rings true today.
It’s really good.
PS the book on which it is based, is really, really good.
