There was a place in Gulf Shores called Games by the Sea (at the Hangout) that we used to play at while down in OBA. OBA was empty in the 80’s, so GS was the place to go for night life. I remember Frogger, Galaga, Phoenix, PAC Man, Pole Position, Spy Hunter, and my last year to go, they had just gotten Mike Tyson Punch out. Huge lines to finally get a shot.

Supper at Sea N Suds, a game of Putt Putt and a night cap at Games by the Sea was quite the Friday night in 1983-1987 for small kid. All the adults were at the Pink Pony having drinks.

I do remember how dark it got leaving the first light at OBA (compared to now) and the 8 mile trip to GS was completely dark and void of traffic until you reached the Gulf State Park lodge. (The original one).
