Don’t be a retard. The only “well respected” franchises are the multi Super Bowl winners like Green Bay, Dallas, New England, NYG, San Fran, etc. and even some of those have drawbacks (Green Bay doesn’t spend money, New York media and Jerry meddling.)
The Saints WOULD be favored highly if they had better draft capital and not a shite cap situation. They have an owner willing to do whatever it takes to win (stays out of the way and cuts checks.) and before the last few seasons, had a competent front office and a talented roster.
But you idiots also forget that coaches will view New Orleans as a destination to go to because they don’t have a Front Office that’s going to cut bait after a season or two. That means a lot to some coaches. Imagine if Detroit had gotten rid of Campbell after his first two seasons there (3-13, and 9-8.) Think about it? If I’m Ben Johnson or some other coach, am I going to go to a place like Carolina where I may not even get two years? Or am I going to a LA Chargers or Saints where I’m getting 3-4 years?
